EFHK update

Here’s a small update for EFHK, relocating the gates 32 and 33 to their final locations as per the latest AIP information. Also finally recompiled all the old FS2002-style objects, I’m curious if there’s any noticeable change in fps over the earlier version. As usual, extract over a fresh EFHK 1.61 installation to avoid any issues.

EFHK and EFHF FSX updates

Updated my earlier FSX patches to properly work with the new versions of Malmi and Vantaa. No significant changes for EFHF, just includes the updated ground layout from the FS2004 version. EFHK patch now includes the improved performance taxiway lights, with the autogen problem corrected. Also should fix a texture issue in DX10 mode, though haven’t been able to test this one myself. Simply unzip over a fresh installation of the released files.

Mystery scenery

Here’s a completely new scenery for a change, I’ve been working on it ever so slowly for quite a while. Still far from complete, but figured I’d put the work in progress version out now. The scenery should work in both FS2004 and FSX.

Just for fun, I’ll let you try and find the mystery scenery yourself, it is located within the borders of Finland and shouldn’t be all that hard to find. Don’t cheat and dig through the bgl and texture files. ;)

EFHK 1.61 and EFHF 2.1 released

Packaged my latest updates for EFHK and EFHF into complete releases and both are now available at FSNordic.

EFHK 1.61 is the same version as the earlier beta, just a couple of bug fixes including the autogen problem. EFHF 2.1 includes all updates released since the original version, as well as a couple of new hangars and updated ground layout. Also should be compatible with Esa Sairio’s Helsinki Photoscenery which is highly recommended!

Remember to delete any earlier versions and work in progress updates before installing to avoid any conflicts!

EFHK 1.61 beta 1

Here’s a test version of an upcoming patch for EFHK. I’ve addressed the problems in the original release, hopefully also mitigating the CTD issues. The scenery has also been heavily optimized, hopefully with a noticeable fps increase. Remove any earlier EFHK versions and install over a clean EFHK 1.6.

EFHK and EFHF FSX patches

A couple more updated FSX patches for EFHK and EFHF. For Helsinki-Vantaa, I’ve finally managed to work through the autogen problem, so the clear-cut area should be no bigger than in FS9. Also includes the approach and runway light fix. This version does not include the old background textures, so installing Esa Sairio’s Vantaa and Tuusula photosceneries is recommended. Install over the released FS9 1.6 version.

For Malmi, the FSX version is lacking some detail, like the perimeter fence and some landside objects. The ground however is working fine and compatible with Esa’s Helsinki photoscenery. Also included are the new objects from the earlier FS9 update. Install over the released FS9 2.01 version.

Again, please do report any issues with these work in progress updates.

EFKU and EFTU FSX patches

Here’s a couple of FSX updates for EFKU and EFTU sceneries. Just a quick fix for Kuopio, replacing the old ground with an AFCAD file and fixing some of the textures and surrounding terrain. For EFTU, the ground should be more autogen-friendly now. Both are installed over the released FS9 versions. Please do report of any issues so they’ll get fixed before final release!

Malmi update

Here’s a work in progress update for the FS2004 version of Malmi scenery. It includes the approach light update by Tatu Kantomaa, improved ground textures, some new objects and adjusted ground layout. Also should be fully compatible with Esa Sario’s Helsinki Photoscenery. Extract over a fresh EFHF 2.01 installation.

EFHK 1.6 released

Just uploaded an all-inclusive version 1.6 of the Helsinki-Vantaa scenery, download available at FSNordic. It includes all updates released so far in a single package. New since version 1.5 is the completed terminal construction work, updated ground, lots of objects missing since the very first release, and a functional Visual Docking Guidance System. Read the readme file and requirements carefully before installing!

This will likely remain the definitive EFHK version for FS2004, next will be a completely new version for FSX using the latest scenery techniques. In the meantime, here’s the usual temporary FSX update, just unzip over the base 1.6 installation. Autogen problem still to be addressed.

Helsinki progress

A new work-in-progress version of Helsinki scenery, this one includes some new significant landmarks (Kielotorni and Flamingo in Vantaa, Panorama in Espoo, Sysopen tower in Helsinki). Now also excludes the existing FSX landmarks that I forgot to do in the last one, funny no one noticed and reported it? :)
